DID YOU KNOW?
Contrary to what most people believe, the Petrolia & Enniskillen District Agricultural Society, consisting of over 125 volunteers, owns Greenwood Park & Morrison Field solely. Although sports groups and the general public have access to the facilities, Greenwood Park is privately owned. The Petrolia & Enniskillen District Agricultural Society also goes by the name of the Petrolia & Enniskillen Fairboard. The Society has a legal agreement & contract with the Town of Petrolia. The Town of Petrolia takes care of the grounds as well as the sporting events or renting out for usage of grounds. The society holds an agreement with the Petrolia Lions who maintain and care for all functions at their Greenwood Pavilion & Hall. Greenwood Palace is maintained & made available for functions only by the Society.
